Populations served:
Survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and physical assault including:
- all ages 12+.
- females.
- undocumented immigrants.
- significant others.
- males.
- non-offending parents.
Fees for services:
Some services as indicated below*. Insurance is billed and CVB reimbursement is utilized when applicable. Otherwise, DOVE services are free of charge.
Medical Services
- 24-hour 7 day a week rape crisis and domestic violence counselors in the Emergency Department.
- Medical / forensic examination* including HIV prophylaxis, date rape drug testing, and pregnancy prevention.
- Psychiatric evaluations at Outpatient Psychiatry Department.
- Once assessment done by DOVE Social worker, client eligible for free short-term psychopharmacology by DOVE psychiatrist.
Advocacy:
- Criminal justice advocacy for survivors of rape / sexual assault and domestic violence.
- Other types of advocacy.
Counseling:
- Short-term individual up to a year.
- Ongoing drop-in group counseling for survivors of rape / sexual assault and domestic violence.
- Telephone counseling.
Other Services:
- Information and referral services for survivors of above crimes including co-survivors of homicide.
- Family therapy for survivors of rape / sexual assault and significant other.
Educational / Training Services
- Community education.
- Professional trainings.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Emergency Department Rape Crisis Counselors.
- General office opportunities.
Special Considerations
- Adolescents can receive medical / counseling services from the ages of 12+ without parental consent.
- We respect client confidentiality.
