Populations served:

Survivors of rape / sexual assault, child sexual abuse, sexual harassment, incest and adults sexually abused as children within Queens County including:
  • all ages.
  • females.
  • non-offending parents.
  • males.
  • significant others.
  • undocumented immigrants.

Fees for services:

Some services as indicated below*. Insurance is billed, CVB reimbursement is utilized when applicable or fee is waived.

Medical Services

  • 24-hour 7 day a week rape crisis counselors in the Emergency Department.
  • Medical / forensic examination* including HIV prophylaxis, date rape drug testing, and pregnancy prevention.
  • Psychiatric evaluations.

Advocacy:

  • Criminal justice advocacy.
  • Other types of advocacy.

Counseling:

  • Short-term individual.
  • Long-term individual.
  • Group counseling as scheduled.
  • Telephone counseling.

Other Services:

  • Information and referral services.
  • Play therapy / creative art therapy / family therapy
  • EMDR

Educational / Training Services

  • Community education.
  • Police sensitivity trainings.
  • Professional trainings.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Emergency Department Rape Crisis Counselors.
  • General office opportunities.
  • Speakers bureau.

Special Considerations

  • Adolescents can receive medical / counseling services from the ages of 12+ without parental consent.
  • Male counselors are available.
  • We respect client confidentiality.
