The Rape Crisis Training Institute and EVC (Educational Video Center) will present a workshop on the influences that mass media has on our lives and our children. This workshop will provide the attendees with ways to incorporate media analysis into their work with teens. This workshop provides the attendees the opportunity to look at mass media in a critical way. The attendees will be looking at advertising critically, begin to understand how media oppresses certain groups, convinces people to purchase certain products and influences culture.
