Project at the Alliance: Keri started volunteering with the Alliance in January 2005 and still continues to volunteer her time. Keri has been a tremendous help to the Alliance staff on various projects including: grantwriting, writing factsheets for the Alliance website, leading a volunteer committee for outreach for the Alliance’s survivor survey, analyzing all the evaluations for the Rape Crisis Training Institutes, and helping the Alliance with various events from our trainings, to the Film Festival and most recently our Open House.
What did you want to volunteer at the Alliance? “I wanted research experience and was told by a former professor that the Alliance was a great place.”
What did you gain from your experience interning at the Alliance? “Research experience and friends! It was a great experience and I love the organization and the people involved. Everyone is very committed and passionate about the mission. It’s very nice to see—I admire all involved. I would love to always be there to help in any way that I can in the future.
What do you hope to pursue in the future? “Not sure…something criminal justice related.”
