The Research to Practice Series was developed by the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault with three goals in mind:
1. For practitioners to learn about current research in the field of sexual violence prevention and intervention,
2. for this research to inform advocacy and practice, and
3. for practice to inform the research agenda.
These three hour long meetings begin with a presentation of current research and are followed with an in-depth discussion around the implications and possible strategies for implementation of the research findings. A reception follows the meetings to allow time for researchers and practitioners to network and inform one another’s work. [[1] Visit our Forum Archives]
The Alliance develops four new factsheets each year summarizing cutting edge research in the field of sexual violence intervention and prevention. [[2] Visit the research factsheets]
