The Alliance brought a team of presenters from School Safety Professionals, LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in school safety, to lead the workshop.  The presenters all had extensive experience working with the New York City Public School system. Their main objective was to present practical information on how to gain access to, and market rape prevention to school systems.

The workshop helped participants to identify key players in New York City schools, major challenges in marketing to schools and strategies to overcome them. The difficulties in gaining access to schools and strategies to gain access were discussed, as were the dynamics of sex crimes in schools and the typical school response to a sex crime that is committed in a school or against a student outside of school.
