Listed On: March 19, 2008
Description:
The Relationship Abuse Prevention Program (RAPP) has been providing teenage students with counseling and educational information since the inception of the program in 1996. RAPP implements curriculum activities at designated middle and high schools designed to teach awareness about healthy relationships and to prevent teen relationship abuse and address problems of teens that may have witnessed or have demonstrated abusive behavior towards friends and family. RAPP organizes a summer program to train students to become peer leaders so that they can educate their communities on topics relating to non-violence and healthy relating. RAPP Coordinators work within the schools, under the Supervision of a Clinical Supervisor and the Director of Teen Services at STEPS to End Family Violence.
