- Learn about an exciting new coalition in NYC called Action Research for Immigrant Social Empowerment (ARISE).
- Hear the NYC Alliance Against Sexual Assault present findings from a pilot participatory action research project conducted in 2006 on sexual violence with immigrant women representing 12 countries in Africa, Central and South America and the Caribbean.
- Discuss the issue of gender-based violence among immigrant communities with other service providers and community members.
- Apply activities to discuss gender-based violence and the development of gender-based violence intervention and prevention programs to other settings.
- Receive a free copy of the research report.
