FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION:
Can men be raped?

Newsletter: Winter 2005: Alliance Announcements

  • Bronx Independent Living Services  awarded the Alliance $5,000 for our collaborative role in their Department of Justice Grant to End Violence Against Women with Disabilities.  The Alliance facilitated workshops for rape crisis program staff and advocates.  We are honored to have participated in this program.
  • Charity Begins at Home awarded the Alliance a $3,000 grant in support of Alliance advocacy, education and research efforts.  Thanks!
  • The Alliance received a $10,000 grant from the New York Community Trust to advocate for a system of Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Programs throughout New York City.  Ensuring that every victim has access to the best care is a major priority for the Alliance.  We appreciate the Trust's interest in rape victims' welfare.
  • The Alliance thanks New York State Senator Tom Duane, who generously contributed $1,000 to the Alliance library!
