Responsibilities:

Peer Educators will facilitate a 90-minute workshop that covers family domestic violence, teen dating violence, and healthy relationships.  Workshops will take place at community organizations throughout the New York City area, in all five boroughs.  Each workshop consists of approximately 10-20 teenagers and is co-facilitated with other Peer Educators.  Workshops are scheduled for in-school, after-school and evening hours, and occasionally on Saturdays.  Specifically, Peer Educators must:
  • Participate in an extensive 25-hour training on family domestic violence, teen dating violence, healthy relationships and facilitation skills;
