Community Sex Offender Treatment Provider Training

Description: This FREE, all-day training is designed for community sex offender treatment providers. Topics covered will include best practice in treatment modalities, taking sexual histories, structuring groups, measuring success, when treatment should end, working with juvenile offenders and resource sharing.

Training will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (*Buffalo site will begin at 8:30 and end at 3PM) includes lunch, break refreshments and training materials.
Judith Becker, Ph.D. is Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry, and a member of the faculties of the Psychology, Policy and Law Program and the Clinical Psychology Program within the Department of Psychology at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She has been recognized for leadership in the field of sex offender evaluation and treatment by the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), American Society of Journalists and the Third International Congress on the Treatment of Sex Offenders. Registration is required. Upon acceptance, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with full agenda, directions to the training site and parking information.
