FACTSHEET:
Information for Parents of Teens

Teens are very vulnerable to crime and unfortunately become victims of crime more than any other age group. The New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault: Call for Performers

Organization: The New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault

Program: SAY SO!

Description:
SAY SO! is New York’s highest profile event to raise awareness about where specialized rape crisis services exist in NYC.

Do you have a story to tell?

We are looking for New Yorkers to share their stories of healing and recovery as survivors, activists, allies, or rape crisis advocates.

Do you have talent?

We are looking for ACTS OF CREATIVITY, from live Music & Dance to Poetry & Spoken Word, skits and anything else we haven’t thought of yet…

The theme of this year’s SAY SO! is a celebration of healing and recovery from sexual violence. To accomplish this, SAY SO! will be set up like a festival with many experiential activities available for attendees to participate in. The activities will be illuminating, educational, participatory and fun! These activities will include storytelling, art, performance, activities that ritualize the process of letting go, the transformation of the SAY SO! location into a healing space, activism and giveaways.

Join us and help mobilize an estimated 4000 attendees for change!
