Safe Horizon: Support Group for Girls (Ages 8-11), Survivors of Sexual Abuse and their Caregivers

Description:
The Jane Barker Brooklyn Child Advocacy Center is offering a Support group for girls (ages 8-11), survivors of sexual abuse and their caregivers. Our intention for the group is to offer children and parents an opportunity to express and explore their feelings, enhance self-esteem, strengthen social skills, and increase feelings of empowerment and self-worth. The support group is FREE of charge and will be held on Tuesday evenings 6:00-7:30pm during the course of 10 weeks. The child must currently be in individual treatment or have previously been in treatment. Screening is required. Referrals must be made by September 23rd at 5pm.
