PLEASE JOIN US IN THIS IMPORTANT WORK Organizational Mission: Casa Atabex Ache is a not for profit org that fosters reconnection to the spiritual and innate power of healing, transformation and social action that often lies dormant in young and adult womyn of color. We awaken and strengthen ourselves, families and communities for self-determination and empowerment. Philosophy Statement: Casa supports people of color in their struggle for social and racial justice by providing a safe space to reclaim our spiritual and cultural practices and use them as tools of resiliency and resistance to war, oppression and violence in our lives. We provide alternative techniques and methods of healing (yoga, reiki, healing circles, aromatherapy, energy work, massage therapy etc,) for community liberation & individual freedom. Casa uses a self-healing approach to address the root causes and affects of internalized, interpersonal, and institutional oppression on our minds, bodies and spirits. Through our programs, trainings, technical assistance, coalition building, public education campaigns, community organizing, and resource sharing, we strive to help end all forms of oppression and promote young and adult womyn of color-led initiatives. This event is a project of Generation Five, a non-profit organization that brings together diverse community leaders working to end child sexual abuse within five generations.
